Trek is what it was, though the voyage home was much easier.
We had a good weekend, and it was great to meet everybody together in Dancing Pig. Glad to be home though.

Thanks for doing the Dancing Pig. It is a great addition to the LH display. If you want to contact Dai Wallington, the commissary generall, now that you have become LH coordinator, his e-mail is dai@mail.com.. If you need contacts for the Parrs and Rusty, please let me know.

Thanks and well done to all of Rivers who made it to Glynde last weekend. Truly an 'epic' performance with occasional cameos from the good old British weather - but so lucky that Sunday and Monday were fine. Great to have Richard and Helen with us as new members, having Callum Bisley back; plus Marianne, Nicholas and Mark Howard, plus Wendy and Steve Self and Ken and Sian Lowe and little Isabella - all told me they enjoyed themselves and want more - so thanks for making them welcome. Congratulations to Terry and Tasha for finally getting their medals for Newbury, (and to Jennie, too). Dancing Pig did us proud, again, and three days battles have left their mark - I have bruises on my bruises...
Thanks also for your patience during the AGM and congratulations to Helen, Ken and Alex on their new roles - I'll be posting the minutes of the AGM later this week, with the provisional attenders for 'Colours' Newbury, (8 Sept), Snelsmore (29 Sept) and Shaw House (Oct 29 & 30). Edgehill WO and admin thread is also already posted.

yes lots of fun. Be good to get all the LH people together on the next muster. The tavern should be at the village end and not with the soldiers?

Message from Tertio just arrived...
"Gents I hope you have recovered from what was I think a very successful weekend at Glynde and a good end to what has been a pretty crap season. Shame you weren’t there Stuart [GLEMHAMS] but at least you walked away with the cup!! I thought that all in the Brigade performed brilliantly over the three days but have to highlight Byron’s pike division who punched well above their weight, especially on the Sunday. I looked back at the Brigade when marching off on the Sunday and we looked very impressive and if Byron’s could try to get out a second shot division, that would really finish it off. That I think needs to be our goal for next year, upping to three Battalia’s for ABH. One thing I would like to highlight though is the need for training. We will be training as a Brigade at all the Majors next year on one morning, probably the Monday but I would encourage you to train as battalia’s, regiments, divisions on the free days. I especially would like to see any new and especially temporary members on their first weekend get the right amount of training rather than the 15 - 30 mins, an hour before the battle! They require battle practice as well as the drill movements!! I hope to see some of you at Edgehill, to kick off the 370th anniversary events and I think that with the financial and weather gods on our side, 2013 could be a very good year! Regards Barrie Upton
