:)Countless congratulations to Karen and Ken. The Dancing Pig was amazing, making Rivers the subject of a huge amount of very possitive comments both from Knotter's and the visiting public. The vision, commitment and gruelling hard work they have put into the launch of this our new social centre is mind blowing. I can't praise them enough.
Just hope that sore arm of Karen's heals quickly. We don't want Kenny offering her his bubble wrap armour.
Cheers Master and Mistress Jugs

Couldn't agree more. Did you know there was an official looking guy came down from Oxford who said "I was given a different picture of the Sealed Knot but I am so impressed with what I have seen here today". Karen and Ken the part you played was superb. He spoke to one or two people along those lines and asked for details. He looked like the late Richard Holmes (historian and presenter of War Walks), but no one seems to have asked his name. There should also be a good write up in the Basingstoke Gazette. Hope the arm heals quickly Karen

I dont need Kenny's bubble wrap, the back of my hand looks like bubble wrap Thanks everyone, despite the hard work it was fun and it was thanks to you lot for being there and supporting us. I do think I'm going to need more sausages for next time though. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions we would be pleased to hear them, after all it's your Dancing Pig Tavern. Karen

The sausages, bacon, and tea were especially welcome. It is difficult when being available to the public to be able to snatch a meal or drink on the hoof. Dancing Pig was just the ticket. Cameos further call on your energy. Lemonade in original Jars would be helpful in hot weather. Its a bit like location filming. Original loaves of bread are good and tasty, but rolls and breadbuns are easier to cope with.
Hope the scalding eases quickly Karen. The Medics in action use a form of bubble wrap to treat burns and scalds as it keeps any further heat out of the wound and cushions the limb.

Great stuff everyone - Massive amount of work went into this and everyone who commented on this was very impressed. I posted my comments on 'Just been to Basing' thread... Gotta dash - it's started raining here and for the second day in a row all the wet stuff from the weekend is getting wet again. Sam.

Now how about a booking for the feeding of the five thousand. That is to say Newstead Abbey. I have just put out a fishing e-mail to see how we could represent the national jubilee meal which is being held in parishes throughout England by royal decree. (Shame the crown isn't paying a contribution, but then this is voluntary).
Work in progress at the moment - lets see how things pan out.
