Just been there and got back. Not very much 17th century specific stuff, though lots of quality (expensive) artifacts and accessories like Derbyshire arms. Some good things like leather and woodwork. If you are into music, authentic instruments cost a bomb.
Great talk by Stuart Peachey on clothing for the ordinary classes. Lots of primary source fuelled myths exploded, and hints at the conclusions of ongoing research. He will be giving more talks throughout the weekend.
Hope this is helpful early heads up and if you are going you enjoy your retail therapy.

Agree Kate. I did not want to give a negative picture at the outset, but there was already an air of gloom amongst traders on the Friday when we were there. Some of the old favorites are running down on stock and retiring. Main thing we felt was high prices, lack of variety in our period, particularly in costume, although the Cobwebs arrangement will probably suit most new Rivers members.
We did look at some musical instruments and barrels etc for living history, but you would need to take a security van with you to musters if you baught them. We have since purchased things much cheaper on the internet.
Having said that, the Stuart Peachey lecture and the purchases we were able to make made the trip worthwhile.
