what a weekend of to halves Friday 17th century music in the beertent. Brilliant Saturday Beautiful sunny morning, good battle, nice social on the campsite then a band in the beertent.Fantastic day. Sunday Urrrggghhhh. Rain rain and more rain, event can called at 1.45pm, the camp site exit became very muddy and churned up and we had to be towed off the camp site by a tractor. This extraction of vehicles was well run with plenty of people helping each other though some people just sat in their cars frightened to get the shoes muddy. Even after all this i still enjoyed the weekend. Well that's English weather for you

Thanks for that Paul, We were going to come Sunday as well, but the downpour persuaded us differently.
A great day Saturday though. The smallish living history was well organised. Interesting displays, helpful interaction with public and knotters. The Coleford Lady Mayor was well impressed by the march and battle, as I think most of the public were.
After we left a smashing social chat with Rivers, we were waylaid by a series of other old friends as we called at the Tardis. We were encouraged to try a Pizza and they were manifique.
Pity about the Sunday, but this sort of thing happens in the Knot and it has affected the Canadian Gran Prix as well, Cest la Guerre
Sports Events were cancelled here too.

Echo first day. Good scrap Saturday with mixed Rivers / Bluecoats / King's Guard block mixing it against Gells and Greys / Pickerings. Ditto our little 'social' afterwards - how nice to sit in a field and watch the world go by... no road pins, no Harris fencing, no traffic management . . . Left late Sat evening and good thing we did by the sound of it. Vytas dropped by here in Tewkesbury to dry off. Hope everyone else made it home OK - see you all at Cheriton.
