Having enjoyed a brillant weekend at Elvaston, with lots of interesting events to store in my aging memory banks, I am looking forward to being part of the memorial service which John has organised for Enborn. Well done John for your hard work. Shoulders ready to get stuck into making Newbury an event that the public will remember with equal satisfaction and respect to that which they enjoyed at Elvaston.

Yes - well done to all who took part. Good weather, unusual battles (good for the pike though) and Jackie notched up yet another 'husband'...! See you all at Newbury (more of which on another thread) Sam.

Glad I was able to make the last day - good to see everyone - and lots of help arranged for powder management at Newbury. Burnt some powder, but battle was not great from a musket perspective - too little space and no opponents really.

Thanks everybody especially Jackie. We are doing the church bit on 22nd though Sue Seed is holding a Beer Tent Sevice Sunday at 9 am. Tom is doing a cross for Newbury so I guess thats it. We did get a few people primed up to come though.
