After a great day yesterday I dragged Ken to every fabric shop I could find on the hunt for grey wool. (he hates shopping) Not one shop had wood fabric or any fabric in grey. I did get some linen, does anyone know of a localish wool fabric supplier or an online one. I need to get cracking with 3 of us to kit up.

Karen, to honest it’s hard to come by at a realistic price on the high street, why don’t you come to TORM , they have a selection of traders at good prices, it’s on the 18th 19th and 20th March 2011 If not Bernie the bolt is the man to talk to - www.calltoarms.com/bolt/ (very honest reportable trader.)

I am currently looking at getting some cloth from a Mill at wholesale prices, but we need a decision on 30th May. You can get patterns from caliver books(ask@caliverbooks.com) for about £20.00 ask Dave Ryan. They will not be at TORM though

I have made a toile of a pair of stays, took a couple of attemps but got there in the end, the petticoats look pretty easy to make. From the information that I have found online so far the breeches look like they are made from 4 rectangles of fabric sewn together and gathered into a waistband and again gathered into cuffs just below the knee with a button or laced fly. could someone confirm this for me please? is there a small rectangle added to the fly to put buttonholes in? I did think about checking this on Saturday but didnt think it was appropriate while people where still wearing them
