Hi guys, as many of you know simon lost his job in january and has decided to strike out on his own. With alot of help from the rangers at snelsmore he is now in production. vallis-green-woodworking.weebly.comAny constructive comments on the website would be appreciated also tips on raising google ratings. We haven't released the products pages yet as we don't want him to get swamped in his first couple of months but he can take orders. He is currently making tent pegs, bartholomew dolls, cotton reels, rustic walking sticks, wooden die, fineals, milking style stools as well as anything else you can suggest.

I love your website and your business. Good luck. Perhaps you and Lisa could get together about doing a sale or return on some of your artistic and practical pieces.

Its a brave thing to do running a small business. My brother in law used to have a similar business, and retired a few years ago. Though there is a steady market for quality English craft goods, outlets are only just re-establishing, so you deserve lots of good wishes and support. TORM may be a place to start - as with traders row. National Trust / English Heritage do sticks and similar, and furniture restorers need craftsmen contractors. Newbury Show itself may be a good trade venue, as it attracts the rural following.(Why not do a living History style presentation with a commercial emphasis)? There may be openings through trade magazines. I hope this in some way helps. Also to quote the Ferenghi book of aquisition - A good accountant is like gold.

Good luck Simon.
Try Game Fairs, they sell sticks and so on (Kelmarsh in spring, Stratford in autumn and the big CLA one moves round. Most gun shops sell sticks at £40-£60 each

Hi to one and all, from your friendly regimental bodger ;0)
Thank you all for the kind support and constructive criticism, very much appreciated.
As Kate said in her initial email, the products page of the website is not quite ready, I just need to take some pictures. Also I did not want to just be suddenly swamped with work all at once as I am still finding my feet as it were. I'm happy to take any orders at the moment for items that you may want and will bring a few things along for those attending Shaw house this weekend to have a look at.
A massive thank you has to be said to Terry for help and guidance in getting the website done and out there. Thanks Chap!!! ;0)
Hope to see you all Saturday at Shaw house,
Cheers, Simon.
