OK, so I went on my own, but it was a seriously good event, in a beautiful part of Scotland, the borders! It was a battle between Montroses Irish army and Leslies covenenters so obviously I went as an Irishman, complete with Irish trews and silly hat, and fought with Manus O' Cahans regiment. A long trip, but definitely worth it, great heavily scripted battles complete with surrender and executions, a fantastic social scene in the evenings complete with a visiting group of German musketeers singing and partying all night, and the infamous Frasers cocktail party on Sunday evening. all topped off with sitting on the banks of the Ettrick watching otters, and salmon trying to jump the weir! Perfect.

Tilliers don't half get about. In only a few years they have grown to a prominent position in the Knot with members living in locations from Weston Super Mare to Guildford. A regiment that was once disbanded. Lets hope our growing numbers and enthusiasm can emulate their success as we are one of the Knot's oldest regiments.
